Palm nut oil making

Palm nut oil making is an age old activity of West African women. A big chunk of the Ghana population follow a matriarchal system. More power to women. Cheers! But even if they do not follow a matriarchal system, women in West Africa traditionally did most of the family trading. West African women can be often seen with a basket on their heads and a child tied on their backs. Women got real money in their hands.

Contrast this to so called advanced nations where women are still struggling to bridge the paycheck gaps. So for me, as long as the palm nut oil gets churned, women have hope.

Palm nut oil making is a laborious process with many boilings and poundings.
